2026 federal dates to check
- April 15, 2026: usual deadline for 2025 individual federal returns, tax payments and eligible 2025 IRA/HSA contributions.
- 2026 estimated income tax installments: April 15, June 15, September 15, 2026, and January 15, 2027, if required.
- December 31: review year-end actions in advance. Payroll and provider cutoffs may be earlier; not every retirement contribution has this deadline.
These are general federal dates, not a determination that you owe an installment. Exceptions and disaster relief can change them. Sources: IRS filing dates and IRS estimated tax guidance.

Use your own deadlines
This is a personal planning calendar. Confirm federal and state tax dates, disaster extensions, employer enrollment windows and provider cutoffs separately. Prior-year contributions depend on eligibility; IRA contribution eligibility and deductibility are different questions. Rules were reviewed in September 2026; recheck them for 2027.
